The NMFTA Freight Classification Webinar Series offers in-depth education on the National Motor Freight Classification^® (NMFC)^™ system—an essential tool for establishing uniform standards in the transportation of goods. This four-module training series teaches the skills necessary to get the most out of the NMFC and ClassIT+^™. Designed for professionals in transportation, logistics, and supply chain management, this series helps participants better understand how less-than-truckload (LTL) commodities are classified and packaged for freight movement.

NMFTA staff will provide detailed instruction on the NMFC LTL packaging definitions, specifications and requirements, and how to properly apply the provisions of the classification system. This three-part webinar series educates carriers, shippers, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and packaging professionals in understanding packaging and its relationship to motor freight classification and claims.
